Daily HS Announcements - Tuesday, September 8, 2026

Prayer: God our Father, we thank you for giving Mary so much grace that she could become the mother of your Son.  Grant that we may learn from her and welcome you and your Son into our lives.  We ask this through the same Jesus Christ our Lord.  AMEN.

1. Cross Country - Boys finished 3rd as a team. Teddy Haake was 3rd, Andrew Kastl was 9th, Dominic Kastl was 10th, Vincent Headley was 32nd. The girls team finished 4th. Mayla Sukup was 2nd, Ashley Mendez was 18th, Kya Jansen was 22nd and Julia Liess was 30th. Top finisher in the boys junior high was Leo Haake at 12th. Top finisher in the girls junior high was Natalie Linnaus 7th.    

2. Football - The varsity lost 34-14 to Bishop Neumann on Friday. The junior varsity won 14-8 over Boone Central last night. 

3. Volleyball - The varsity went 1-2 at the Scotus Central Catholic Tournament on Saturday, lost to Scotus Catholic in 2 sets, to Pierce in 2 sets and beat Cedar Catholic in 2 sets.

4. Softball - Norfolk Varsity was 1-2 over the weekend - beat Scottsbluff, lost to Grand Island NW and 

5. The boys and girls locker rooms: number 1 will be closed by 3:45 for the NECC game that starts at 6 tonight.

6. Girls golf at Cedar Catholic starting at 4:00 p.m. today, golfers will be dismissed at 1:55 pm

7. JH football vs Boone Central starting at 4:30 p.m. 

8. Volleyball at Lutheran High beginning at 5:30 p.m. 

9. There will be an informational FBLA meeting this Friday, September 11 during 5th period lunch. Anyone who is enrolled in a business class, first or second semester, is able to join as a new member along with past members. This will be an informational meeting, you can decide at the end of the meeting if you'd like to join! Grab your lunch and meet in room 218.                                                                                                                                                                      

10. Daily HS Announcements - Friday, September 4, 2026

Prayer: God our Father, help us to follow the teachings of your Son and to share them with others as Simon Peter did.  We ask this in the name of the same Jesus Christ our Lord.  AMEN.

1. There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday!

2. Softball results- Norfolk varsity won 10-0 against Lincoln Northeast 

3. Varsity volleyball lost 3 sets to 0 vs. Pierce. JV lost 2 sets to 1 and reserves won 2 sets to 0.

4. Cross-country at the Boone Central Invite today. The high school will run at 9 a.m. and the Jr. High will run at 10:20 a.m.                                                                                                                                                                                     

5. Football at Bishop Neumann tonight starting at 7 p.m. Players will be dismissed at 2:50 p.m.

6. High school football polo’s are in. Players can pick them up from Mr. Bellar. 

7. All high schoolers who are interested in acting in the cast of the one-act play should meet in Mrs. Koopman's room right after school on Friday to get information on the script and try-outs. Not sure or have questions? Come to the meeting! If you are interested but are unable to attend, please talk to or email Mrs. Koopman.

8. We are excited to host the 2026-27 home activities and events. For safety reasons, only authorized personnel may be in the playing area. No fans, photographers, etc. are allowed on the field or playing floor during competition unless they have been issued an NSAA pass or an approved NCHS pass from our Activities Director.

9.
